Shock pools or barrel

The shock pool does not differ from the ordinary one in anything other than the temperature of the water in it. It is below 30 degrees and can even reach around zero. The coldest pools are called by the Roman name "frigidarium".

What are the characteristics of its use?

· The stay in it is short - unlike all other water and entertainment facilities;

· It is used for shock cooling after thermal procedures in the warm rooms of the wellness centers - for example after a sauna;

· The condition is to dive quickly and get out quickly.

Shock pools must have comfortable and secure, non-slip steps. The water must be kept crystal clear.

Not every wellness user likes shock cooling, and for some it is contraindicated. Therefore, from an economic point of view, shock showers are a better solution for smaller wellness centers.

Shock barrel

If the design of the wellness center allows, a shock tub or barrel can be used instead of a pool. This is a large wooden vessel that is filled with cold water and performs the functions of a shock pool. It is a real attraction, but it is not very suitable for public centers, because it is smaller in volume and there is no possibility for water purification, which in turn leads to its frequent change. But for wellness in a private home, the shock barrel is a wonderful solution.
